Volunteer on Collection and Sorting Days

Our collection day volunteers help unload donated food from vehicles and place the donated food in bins. Be prepared to be on your feet, lifting/lowering items and getting your steps in! Shifts are 2nd and 4th Mondays from 8:00-10:00 am and take place at our new PORCH-Durham location (1800 MLK Pkwy.) Sign up below to volunteer to unload on an upcoming collection day.

Our sorting day volunteers help shelve the donated food or pack boxes to be delivered to our distribution partners. Be prepared to be on your feet, lifting/lowering items, pushing/puling carts, etc. Shifts are the Fridays before and after 2nd Mondays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and every Tuesday after 4th Mondays from 2:00-4:00 pm. Sign up below to volunteer on an upcoming sorting day.
